Escola Secundária Rainha Dona Amélia is located in Rua Jau, Alto de Santo Amaro, one of the most well preserved Lisbon neighbourhoods. About 970 students aged between 12 to 18 years old attend the school, which is sought mostly by parents who want their children to follow further studies at University. Its primary mission is to provide a teaching with high quality standards, thus enabling each student to build a successful academic career, in due respect to the democratic principle of equal opportunities. It also aims to form upstanding, responsible, solidary, tolerant and enlightened citizens.
