Madalena Ravara

Madalena ([birthday day=”13.05.1998″]) has been part of “My Europe” since the Portuguese Workshop in 2014. She is a pupil at Escola Secundária Rainha Dona Amélia in Lisbon and loves both writing and reading. Madalena is fascinated about nature and the wild life. She has been practicing ballet for fourteen years and is passionate about dance. Despite not knowing what she wants to do in the future, Madalena sees herself fighting for nature and human rights at conferences around the world.

For me, “My Europe” is…

…a place where children can grow up safely and happily. It is the land of opportunity for youngsters to learn and develop new skills every day so that they can become responsible citizens in the future. It is the best place for adults to live, work and fulfil their mental and physical needs. Finally, it is a peaceful environment where people can grow old with their family and friends, knowing that the next generation will take care of their Europe.

If you could, what would be the first thing you would change in Europe?

I would implement higher education standards. I would also make sure all countries had strict policies to respect nature and natural resources as well as minimalize human impact on earth. Furthermore, I would work so that everyone had equal opportunities and embrace their differences.
