Lotte Schuengel

Lotte Schuengel (16) participated in the Dutch edition of “My Europe” in 2014. She´s a student at Gemeentelijk Gymnasium Hilversum, Amsterdam. In her free time she likes to be creative. Lotte plays the piano and the guitar. Also writing and drawing belong to her other creative hobbies. She writes for a youth newspaper and she´s interested in TV series. Maybe one day she writes her own TV series? Lotte isn´t sure about this now but she would love to make films and series one day.

My Europe is:

My Europe needs to make an effort in finding a balance between science and ethics.

If you could, what would be the first thing you would change in Europe?

The first thing I would change in Europe is the food industry’s priorities. Healthy foods should be cheaper than sugary foods and more appealing to buy. This will be the first step to prevent more people from becoming obese or getting diabetes type 2, which is proven to increase your chances of getting Alzheimers.
