'My Europe' in Istanbul

Under the patronage of Egemen Bağış, Turkish Minister for EU Affairs and Chief Negotiator, the fifth edition of “My Europe” took place in Istanbul on 17 and 18 May.

Thirty students from Doğa Schools had the chance to hear about the Turkey-Europe relationship from Prof. Karabulut of Istanbul University. They learnt about the history of the European Union and current legal relations from Dr. Mehmet Köksal (Partner, Köksal Avukatlık Ortaklığı). In order to prepare them for the international writing contest, Zeynep Gürcanlı of Hürriyet coached the teenagers in news writing and gave them insight into the daily work of a journalist. As closing session of the “My Europe” workshop followed a reception in the Ministry for EU Affairs.
